Perhentian 16KM solo swim  2018

The challenge is to swim about 16KM in distance around one of Perhentian Islands called Pulau Besar. The Perhentian Islands are a small group of beautiful, coral-fringed islands off the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu.  2018 is the 2nd edition of the event. It was started in 2017.

16KM  PERHENTIAN ISLAND MARATHON SWIM  - RELAY ;  DUO AND TEAM

DUO- consisted of 2 swimmers.   TEAM - consisted of 4 swimmers.  One swimmer is required to be in water throughout the race.  Distribution of swim time for each swimmer if up to the team to decide or strategize.

Perhentian Relay form

Slot limit:   20 teams (Duo & Team)  first come first serve basis.

 

Swim Course : Marathon Swim around Perhentian Island Besar (Anti-clockwise)

 

Distance : Aprox.16km Starting and ending from Teluk Pauh Beach 

 

Estimated time to swim:  Between 3.5 - 7 hours (16Km) 

Flag off :    7:30am - Cut off 14:30pm (7hours)

Perhentian 4.KM OWS Challenge

The challenge is to swim about 4km along the shore fo Pulau Besar of Perhentian Islands.  This course is consider the most calm or protected area.    

4km Perhentian Race Form

Distance : Aprox.4km.  Swimmers to pick up a band at Turtle Beach, taking fruits/drinks and return to the finishing line at Pauh bay beach.

 

Maximum Participants: 100

Flag off :        8:30am - Cut off  of 2 hr 45 min

Event Date:   Oct 6,    2018

 Water temperature:It will be around 28-31 ° C 

 Entitlements: Swimming Caps,  Event T-shirt,  Food & refreshment after the race.
