PD Thistle OWS Relay- 22.1.22

Registration period:  10th Jan to   17th Jan 

Event date: 22nd Jan 2022

Location: Thistle PD Resort

Objectives:

- to experience new FINA race format

- work in a mixed team of 4 (randomly selected)

- share experience and skills

- play different roles within a team : strategist, coach, leader

- get improvement feedback from teammates

Requirement - OWS experience with minimum 3'30" pace (/100M) min age 16 or with coach endorsement.

Event format

1. Random selection of team members

2. Self appointment of team leaders

3. 500M warm-up 

4. 4 x 100M Relay 

5. Team self assessment (technique correction/ feedback)

6. 4 x 1000M Relay

7. Award Ceremony  (Top 3 Teams)

FAQ: 

A. Do I need to find members of my team?  No,  We will form a team for you; randomly drawn.

B. I am NOT qualified to enter OWS relay session; any other sessions available?  Yes,  we also have OWS clinic for beginners. Choose the OWS clinic for beginners section to register.
